My Favorite Diptic Contest
15 Jun 2012
To celebrate the release of Diptic for Mac, we are holding a fun, simple contest – My Favorite Diptic. Whether it’s a funny Diptic of your cat or what you ate for lunch, we want to see your favorite Diptic creations!
With your Diptic, please also include a one-sentence summary that explains why it’s your favorite (you don’t have to go all Shakespeare on this – short, funny, simple or sarcastic descriptions are completely OK). Written descriptions aren't required to win, but they are highly recommended!
To enter, post your submissions to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #MyFavoriteDiptic. Or, you can email your submission to us at contest@dipticapp.com.
We’ll post submissions on the contest website so everyone can see them. After the contest closes, the Diptic Team will review all entries and announce the winner on July 9, 2012.
Due to legal restrictions, the contest is open only to U.S. residents who have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence at the time of entry and who do NOT reside in Arizona, New Jersey or Vermont. We think it’s a total bummer that it isn’t open to everyone, but you gotta follow the rules.
Time frame:
Contest Begins: June 15, 2012 at 5 p.m. PST
Contest Ends: July 2, 2012 at 12 a.m. PST
Our judging will be based on:
Creativity, quality and aesthetics!
Prize:
The prize for this contest will be a $50 iTunes gift card!
Additional details:
- Diptics submitted should have at least 2 frames
- Maximum of 5 entries per person, per contest
- App stacking is okay, but it needs to be clear and obvious that Diptic was used in each entry
- By entering, you agree that you agree to the contest Terms & Conditions.
If you have any questions, ask @dipticapp on Twitter or email contest@dipticapp.com.
Have fun!
Look Like a Photo Genius With Diptic for Mac
14 Jun 2012
We’re excited to announce the release of Diptic for Mac! It’s available for purchase at the Mac App Store and costs $.99.
We are thrilled to bring our first mobile application to the Mac, a platform we on the Diptic Team have used daily for years. We look forward to enhancing this application and seeing our users’ awesome Diptics!
Diptic for Mac is currently featured as an Editors’ Choice in the Apple App Store!
Diptic’s easy-to-use features make a casual photographer look like a photo ninja. Here are some of the key features available in Diptic for Mac 1.0:
• 56 frames! All fully adjustable with one to six photos in each layout
• Multi-Touch! The UI reacts to gestures with your Magic Mouse or Trackpad.
• Full screen! Because sometimes you just want things to be huge.
• Adjust border color and width, and even create rounded corners with a slider that lets you control the curvature.
• Save Projects! The new “.dptc” file format lets you save your Diptic projects and come back to them later.
• High resolution export (max of 3072x3072) with PNG or JPG options.
• Adjust brightness, contrast, hue and color saturation for each image or for all images together
• Aspect Ratio Slider lets you easily adjust canvas size to get a square, portrait or landscape image.
• Drag and drop pictures into frames, and swap photos between frames.
Learn more about Diptic for Mac at the App Store and its website.
To celebrate the release, we are holding a contest open to all Diptic users (Mac desktop, iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Android). Details will be announced tomorrow!
Tell the Story Contest Winner
12 Jun 2012
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Diptic Tell The Story Contest! We had so many great entries that it was tough to pick one winner!
In the end, we decided that Anna’s entry of a little boy catching a ball at the Giants game did the best job of telling a creative, visually appealing story. Congratulations, Anna!
If you forgot to submit or are bummed that you didn’t win, fear not! We have more contests planned and will announce the next theme very soon. Stay tuned!
