What happened to my Camera Roll? Where are my photos?

With iOS 8, Apple introduced a major change in how iOS devices manage photos. There is no longer a 'camera roll' that contains photos you've taken with your device. Instead, all photos are now just viewable in the "Photos" tab of the Photos app. At the moment, this means that Diptic cannot access these photos. NOTE: We are submitting an update that will provide access to all your photos. This will be out soon.

In the meantime, to access your photos in Diptic, perform the following on the photos you would like to use:

  1. Open Photos.app and select the "Photos" tab to view your photos organized by "moments".
  2. In the Moments view, tap "Select" in the top right corner to enter selection mode.
  3. Select the photos you wish to access in Diptic and press "Add To" to select an album to put in (You can also create a new album for this purpose at the bottom of Album selection.
  4. Return to Diptic and navigate to the album you've placed your photos (If the image picker was already open, you may need to close and reopen it to see the new album).

We apologize for this inconvenience. For more information about this change on iOS 8 — please see: iMore.com: Yes, Camera Roll is gone in iOS 8 — Here's where it went and why!
